FINAL INSPECTION · EARLY ACCESS

Scan the unit.
Get the right checks.

CheckStation selects the approved final-inspection checks for each identified unit from its product family, drawing revision, supplier status, customer group and finish. Your team supplies the methods and limits, a different reviewer approves the plan, and inspectors record the readings at a handheld or scan station. The record shows what passed, what failed and whether the unit was released. Early access is by invitation, with onboarding arranged for your site.

No payment. Start with your workflow.

Known unit context selects the approved base checks. A completed inspection still needs conforming observations and no active hold before release.

BUILT AROUND YOUR KNOWLEDGE

For manufacturing teams inspecting configurable products one unit at a time, with an authorised owner of inspection methods and limits.

FROM KNOWLEDGE TO A WORKING PROCESS

A changed variant should bring the right checks with it.

When requirements sit across drawings, spreadsheets and people's memory, an inspector must repeatedly decide which checks apply. CheckStation's approved rules select the applicable checks automatically from the known unit context, with a reason for each selection.

01

Approve the requirements

Define the checks, customer-approved methods and exact limits. A different reviewer checks the examples and approves the plan.

02

Identify one unit

Scan or enter its identifier and confirm the physical unit. The inspection keeps its context and the selected plan before any reading is recorded.

03

Inspect and record

Enter manual readings and pass or fail observations, then see completion, result and release as separate facts.

THE SERVICE

Approved checks. Exact readings. A record you can explain.

Checks selected by approved rules

A supplier, customer group or finish condition can add an approved check or require supervisor release. Missing context or conflicting requirements block selection.

Exact values and explicit units

Each reading is compared exactly with the approved limits, with no rounding first. Readings are entered by hand in the unit shown, and a reading in another unit is refused.

Failures kept in the record

The record keeps failed observations, holds, reasoned corrections and linked full retests. A supervisor cannot turn a failed reading into a pass.

APPROVED RULES, APPLIED TO EVERY UNIT

Set the condition once. Apply it to every unit.

Your team sets the conditions that add checks or require supervisor release, in the structured plan editor. A different reviewer checks them against expected examples and approves the plan. CheckStation then selects the checks automatically for each unit, without asking a model to interpret any reading. Plain English authoring is not enabled.

IS IT A FIT?

Start with one
clear workflow.

A good starting point

  • Individually identified manufactured units, inspected at one site.
  • Requirements that change with known product, drawing or supplier context.
  • A named process owner who can supply and approve methods and limits.

The initial scope

  • Early access by invitation. An enquiry does not create an account or start a trial.
  • Single-unit final inspection using native records or reviewed CSV/JSON context and manual readings.
  • No batch sampling, concessions, live instrument connection, offline inspection or machine interlock.
  • A quality release records an authorisation; it does not move stock or authorise despatch in another system.

BEFORE YOU START

A few useful answers.

How do we get started?

CheckStation is in early access, with onboarding by invitation. Tell us about one inspection family and how its checks change. We review the fit, then agree methods, devices, readiness and terms with you before your team is invited. There is no self-service sign-up.

Does AI decide whether a part passes?

No. The approved plan and an exact numerical comparison decide the software result. Your team supplies the engineering limits and method, and the inspector records the observation. No AI model is called during an inspection, and plain English authoring is not enabled.

Does one passing unit release its lot?

No. Each inspection concerns one explicitly identified unit. Job and lot references provide context. CheckStation includes neither sampling nor lot acceptance.

Do we need an ERP connector or another SmartFACT product?

No. CheckStation uses its own unit records, or unit context from a CSV or JSON file that a supervisor previews and accepts. It has no ERP connector, and connections to other SmartFACT products or live instruments are outside its scope.

What happens after a failed reading?

The failure stays on the record and the unit is held. A supervisor may require rework and a new full-plan retest. A correction of transcription is a separate attributed decision, and the original observation remains visible.

What does it cost?

Prices, evaluation periods and allowances are not published here. They are agreed with you before access. This enquiry takes no payment and starts no trial.
